Legacy Reading Horizons Discovery®
Software Training #1
RH Discovery Software Training # 1 is a brief overview of the student experience, focusing on navigations and commonly asked questions. Teachers will also engage in hands-on practice in these areas:
- Student settings
- Message Center
- Preview Content
- Check-Ups
Software Training #2
RH Discovery Software Training #2 equips teachers with the tools necessary to understand how to use software data to inform instruction. This session will cover the following:
- Understanding assessment data
- Using the Message Center to form small groups
- Understanding Check-Up reports
Software Training #1
RH Elevate Software Training #1 will give teachers a brief overview of the student experience, focusing on navigations and commonly asked questions. Teachers will also be given hands-on practice in these areas:
- Student settings
- Message Center
- Preview Content
- Beginning assessments
Software Training #2
RH Elevate Software Training #2 will give teachers the tools necessary to use software data to inform their instruction. This session will cover the following:
- Understanding assessment data
- Using the Message Center to form small groups

New Reading Horizons Discovery®
This two-hour session provides an overview of the new Reading Horizons Discovery® for leaders and administrators. Participants will learn about key structures for effective implementation and understand what success with Reading Horizons looks like.

Reading Horizons Discovery Sound CityTM Open Enrollment
This 90-minute session provides an overview of the Reading Horizons Discovery Sound City TM curriculum. The content will cover an overview of phonological awareness and phonemic awareness and their role in reading development. Attendees will learn how to build phonemic awareness instruction and practice into their daily lessons more effectively. They will participate in a phonemic awareness lesson and hands-on activities to deepen their understanding of Sound City and how it can benefit their students.
Breaking Up a Lesson Open Enrollment
Breaking up a Lesson to Meet Student Needs
This 90-minute session helps teachers understand how to effectively break up the content of a lesson to meet the needs of their students better. They will learn about resources to help them plan lessons based on learning objectives and target goals. Attendees will be given the opportunity to practice breaking up a lesson with feedback and support from the facilitator. They will also learn to use observational data gathered during the lesson to inform small groups, differentiated instruction, and practice.
Spelling Supplement Open Enrollment
Legacy Reading Horizons Discovery® Spelling Supplement Implementation
This 90-minute session will provide attendees with an in-depth understanding of the Spelling Supplement and how they can implement it in the classroom. They will learn about all of the components of the supplement and practice teaching a spelling lesson. Attendees will understand the importance of explicit spelling instruction and how it can improve their students' reading and writing skills.
