November.

November 11, 2015

The library is closed today for Veteran’s Day so I’m currently sitting in Starbucks planning and reading. I love relaxing mornings like this and I thought I’d let you in on what’s currently going on.

CURRENTLY

Reading…

Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined  – Stephenie Meyer

I know some people love Twilight and others love to hate it, but I couldn’t resist this one. For the tenth anniversary of when Twilight was first released, Stephenie Meyer rewrote Twilight with a twist. All of the genders are swapped! As in there is no Bella Swan or Edward Cullen. Now it’s Beaufort Swan and Edythe Cullen. I’ve only read the first 50 pages, so more on this later.

Not a Fan – Kyle Idleman

This one is all about figuring out if we are just fans of Jesus or true followers. We are currently teaching from a series based on this book in our youth class on Sunday mornings and it is one of my favorite series we’ve done.

Anticipating…

packages coming in the mail! It is unfortunate for my bank account, but I have ordered several things online in the last couple of weeks! I ordered our Christmas card early this year plus a few more fun things including:

Open Hand Studio Advent Countdown
Open Hand Studio Advent Countdown (how fun is this?!)
Francesca's - Cora Lace Midi Skirt
Francesca’s – Cora Lace Midi Skirt (love!)

Planning…

Friendsgiving! Jon and I are having friends over the night before Thanksgiving so I’m currently working on invitations, decorations, and recipes.

Our Friendsgiving invitation from JazzHandsPaperCo.

Watching…

The Amazing Race and Survivor. These are the only shows I’ve been keeping up with this Fall, but I plan on catching up on Grey’s Anatomy & Castle. I’ve also been watching How I Met Your Mother and Friends for the first time from the beginning on Netflix.

Listening…

to the new Hillsong Worship album, Open Heaven/ River Wild.

Excited…

about all the other fun things to come this month such as an early Christmas shopping trip this Saturday with friends, Thanksgiving, a quick weekend trip to east TN, and decorating for Christmas!

Thanking…

everyone who has served or is currently serving our country! Thank you for your service. Below is one of my favorite pictures of my granddad after a trip to the library when he was stationed at Pearl Harbor. His ship, the U.S.S. Lexington, left two days before the attack on Pearl Harbor.
