Yes, I have used many of the techniques mentioned with the very young, energetic preschooler while teaching. My favorites are Stand Up / Sit Down, Thumbs Up/ Thumbs Down and Gallery Walk, Tiptoe or Jog. These activities will keep the learner engaged, actively participating, and just having a fun time learning.

I love using the 3-2-1 activity at the end of My Physical Fitness Class. It helps with gauging the students knowledge of what we did that day. It also helps them understand the use of the exercises and muscles we are attempting to develop that day.

Hi, I have used dictation in my class. It really helped student to learn new words, learn to write correct spellings. I really like to implement above 14 effective strategies to engage student activities during my classroom session.

I have used Think Pair Share in my Global Studies and US History classes. I like this activity because it requires participation and once the SHARE part comes, it allows each student to get feedback on what they are thinking from the person they are sharing with.
