Five Finds Friday.

November 13, 2015

Two blogs I’ve been reading (Taylor Schumann – Schmusings and Holly Paulette) do a link-up on Fridays called Five Finds Friday and I thought I’d join in on the fun. Head on over to their blogs to read about their finds. 🙂

Funny.

Okay, I know this is probably nothing new to many of you, but when I was thinking about what has made me laugh out loud during the last week this is what came to mind. So enjoy these bad lip reading videos from the Democratic and Republican debates.

Fashionable.

I ordered this dress last night from Old Navy. All their clearance is an additional 30% off right now, so i got it for $10.48. I couldn’t pass it up. I bought it in Tall because I wanted it to be a little longer.

But to be honest, I would have loved to have ordered one of these instead from Anthropologie.

Flavorful.

I have no ground-breaking recipes to share with you guys, but I am excited about going to Another Broken Egg tomorrow with friends. The Potato Sensation is calling my name.

Faithful.

To close out the year, my friend, Kelsey, thought it would be great to read the book Draw the Circle: The 40 Day Prayer Challenge by Mark Batterson. She started a group on Facebook with a bunch of ladies and I am so excited about us all doing this together. So many times at the end of the year, we make excuses and say, “Well, I’ll work on that when the new year gets here.” Kelsey’s thought was, “Let’s go out of 2015 with a bang and not wait for the new year.” Starting on November 22nd, we will all read the book and participate in this prayer challenge together.

This book goes with The Circlemaker by Mark Batterson. It is convicting and definitely a life changer. I recommend reading this one before Draw the Circle or reading them at the same time. If anyone wants to join the group on Facebook, feel free to comment below.

Feels.

Last Hope with Troy Dunn is a show where long lost family members or friends are reunited. Last night’s episode was about a man, Rick, who wanted to find his two younger sisters who were adopted separately from him almost 50 years ago. One of the sisters was one of my mom’s best friends when she was growing up. But this story is amazing whether you know them or not! I’m not gonna lie. I cried multiple times.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to watch the full episode, but I was able to watch some clips here. Below is a video of the host talking about the episode.

Here’s to the weekend! 🙂

    1. So excited about draw the circle! Also, the gray Anthro I have been contemplating. Then, I made the mistake of buying Tieks instead 😩 (Not a fashion mistake but a mistake Dave Ramsey would be disappointed in.)

      1. I am excited, too!…I’ve made some of those same mistakes lately. 🙁

    1. Whoa! Just now seeing that you linked up with us a few weeks back and it makes me so happy!!! I LOVE your Anthro finds, and I was just thinking of getting a book by Mark Batterson…so keep us posted on how it is 🙂

      1. The Circlemaker was amazing and I am loving Draw the Circle so far, too! I will definitely post more about Draw the Circle once I finish it though. I completely missed posting last Friday, but should be back at it this week!
