Five Finds Friday // 4

December 11, 2015

Christmas is only two weeks away! I am getting so excited and love everything about this time of year. We are going to try to finish up our Christmas shopping this weekend and watch some Christmas movies. I hope you all are enjoying the holiday season as much as we are. Here are my five finds for this week and as always, don’t forget to check out Taylor and Holly‘s blogs.

Funny.

My sister-in-law sent this to me this week. She knows me all too well.

Then I saw this one. This is definitely me.

This one however is not me. This is my husband.

Fashionable.
I promise to not show you guys anything else from Francesca’s for awhile after today, but I got two super cute barrettes from there this week that I love! They have a lot of cute hair accessories right now and they were all buy one get one half off in the store a couple of days ago, so I’m assuming they still are. These could also be great additions to someone’s Christmas present!

Flavorful.
Guys. I really don’t cook much, so this is always the hardest category for me. If you want some ideas for finger foods/appetizers for Christmas parties, here are some ideas. Also, follow me on Pinterest!

Faithful.
I am so thankful to have discovered the She Reads Truth app. I am so enjoying the Advent devotional. It incorporates the Old Testament and I am really learning a lot. I am looking forward to studying Genesis in January. I really want to buy one of their physical study books to go along with one of the devotions soon! If you aren’t familiar with She Reads Truth, check out their website or their app.

Feels.
I cannot tell you how proud I am of my friends who completed the St. Jude Marathon last week! Katie and Tony completed it for the first time and Kelsey and Jerrod completed it for the second time. Their team raised over $1,600 for St. Jude! We stood on the sidewalk at the 14 mile mark for over an hour cheering the marathoners on and then waited at the finish line for our friends. It was so inspiring seeing so many people reaching their goal and raising money for such a great cause.

They dedicated their run to a little girl named Annastin who recently had to have surgery for a tumor and is currently undergoing radiation.

They stopped for a minute at the 14 mile mark so we could give them some stuff and to take a picture!
